“He will have to serve the same sentence – life in prison,” the court said in its finding, which is effective from the day of announcement and is not subject to appeals.
A copy of the ruling was sent to Bilevičius without delay.
The Šiauliai court heard the case after prosecutors of Radviliškis, northern Lithuania, filed an appeal against a finding of a Radviliškis court, which trimmed the sentence to 15 years.
In November of 2015, a Swedish court of Skaraborg found the Lithuanian guilty of murdering Lisa Holm, 17, and sentenced him to life in prison.
Holm was reported missing in June of 2015 and was soon discovered murdered. The Lithuanian pleaded he had nothing to do with the death, which caused a massive resonance in Sweden.
