Graziano’s agenda for Wednesday includes a meetings with Lithuania’s Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis, Chief of Defense Lieutenant General Jonas Vytautas Žukas and Foreign Vice-Minister Darius Skusevičius, the Defense Ministry said.
The meetings should address security situation in the Baltic and the Mediterranean regions, the presence of NATO forces in the Baltic states, NATO and EU cooperation, the countries’ contribution to collective defense and counter-terrorism efforts.
Other items on the agenda will include international operations involving Lithuanian and Italian troops, namely, the NATO operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan and EU Naval Forces operation in the Mediterranean Sea, Sophia.
This is Graziano’s second visit in Lithuania. The general first came to Vilnius in September of 2015.
