Just like 15 years ago in Frankfurt, Lithuania this year chose the slogan The Story Continues, the Lithuanian Culture Ministry said. This year’s topic is 100 years of modern Lithuania (1918-2018), historic development of the new state as an integral part of European events and processes.
The topic is expected to attract the attention of German readers through human stories and experiences, geopolitical spaces and situations that Lithuania was involved in over the past decade.
Among the presented German translations of Lithuanian literatures are novels, essays, poetry and non-fiction literature, as well as children’s books – from classics to the most outstanding modern authors.
The program of the festival includes about 50 presentations, literature readings and discussions of the Lithuanian authors.
