Denmark was ranked first in the ICT Development Index, it surpassed last year’s leader South Korea. Sweden is third, followed by Iceland, Great Britain, Norway, the Netherlands, Finland, Hong Kong and Luxembourg.
Based on the 2014 index, global internet usage has grown 6.6 percent, over 3 billion people use the world wide web. On the other hand, 4.3 billion people do not have access to the internet, 90 percent of them live in developing countries.
