The demarcation process was finalized on Apr. 26 after the Russian Foreign Ministry notified Lithuania of the completion of the necessary internal procedures, it said in a press release.
The Lithuanian government endorsed the state border demarcation documents on Jan. 31, 2018.
A total of 559 boundary markers have been put up at the border shared by Lithuania and Russia. The length of the border, both on land and at sea, totals 297.12 kilometers.
