Lithuania to present ‘modern version of Noah’s Ark’ at Venice Biennale

The council has selected Landzbergas’ project, which it describes as “a modern version of Noah’s Ark”, to represent Lithuania at the 57th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.

Landzbergas is one of the best-known Lithuanian contemporary artists. In 2008, he received an award from the art publisher Thieme Art.

The artist has been taking an active part in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad since 2003. He has staged exhibitions at the Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius, the Galerie Fons Welters in Amsterdam, the TAG Gallery in The Hague, the Kim? Contemporary Art Centre in Riga, and Modern Art Oxford, in the United Kingdom.
