Lithuanian businesses may have to begin publishing average wages

Companies employing three or more workers may have their average wages and their total Sodra contributions published under a new law.

The proposal is part of the latest edition of the State Social Insurance Law.

The Seimas Committee on Social Affairs and Labour supports these changes to the law.

The Lithuanian Small and Medium Business Service opposes the publication of this information and said that the proposal would allow competitors to see the average wages the company offers its workers, which is sensitive commercial information.
