Lithuanian engineering industry presented its potential in Sweden

At the Husqvarna company Ambassador Bajarūnas met with its management team to discuss company’s cooperation with the Lithuanian enterprises, and visited industrial premises. Husqvarna’s annual turnover is EUR 3.5 billion. The company manufactures a wide range of products around the globe, makes Husqvarna push mowers and riding lawn mowers. In addition to lawn mowers, Husqvarna manufactures bicycles, motorcycles, garden and forestry equipment, cutting equipment. At the meeting with company’s management team Ambassador Bajarūnas expresses satisfaction that a significant number of Lithuanian companies are already supplying their production to this factory. However there is still a big potential to be used.

While in Jönköping, Ambassador Bajarūnas together with the Chairman of Jönköping Chamber of Commerce Jonas Ekeroth visited annual exhibition ELMIA Subcontractor. The largest engineering industry exhibition in the Nordic countries ELMIA Subcontractor this year is hosting twenty-six Lithuania companies, most of which were presented at the joint stand of Lithuanian Engineering Industry Association Linpra and exhibited a wide range of Lithuanian industrial production. companies.

Ambassador Bajarūnas, Commercial Attaché Masiulionis, and Member of the Presidium of Lithuanian Engineering Industry Association Linpra Tomas Jaskelevičius visited stands of Lithuanian companies and together with Lithuanian Honorary Consul in Jönköping Gunnar Lans inaugurated Linpra joint stand.

According to Eitvydas Bajarūnas, participation of Lithuanian companies in the ELMIA Subcontractor has unique opportunity to exploit the favourable business situation and find new business partners. “I appreciate very much that year by year an increasing number of Lithuanian companies take part in this exhibition. This indicates that our companies fully understands the perspectives which this exhibition open to them in receiving contracts,” said the Ambassador.

16 companies are present at the national stand: „3D prototipai UAB“, „Arginta Engineering JSC“, „Baltec CNC Technologies UAB“, „Eurokubas JSC“, „HI STEEL UAB“, „Jutrix JSC“, Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, „Plamega UAB“, „Plieno Fortas“, „Premeta UAB“, „Progressive Business Solutions“, „Progresyvus štampavimo sprendimai UAB“, „Ronika UAB“, „Sargasas UAB“, „Stansefabrikken UAB“, „Stigma, UAB“ and other Lithuanian companies.

Jönköping is located Southern part of Sweden. Due to its geographical position and access to lake Vätenn it became center of exhibition and logistics hosting main warehouses of such companies as IKEA, Electrolux and Husqvarna.
