Grinius was detained during a warm-up before a match between Rudupis Prienai and Fajetonas Jonava.
Kaunas Police chief Darius Žukauskas told the website that a major police operation had been planned for Monday and that Grinius was detained and is now in custody. Kaunas Police spokeswoman Odeta Tumelytė said Grinius was detained under a European arrest warrant issued by Germany.
