“I do not think there is any sensation. The First Baltic Channel is a legal television channel which also operates in Lithuania and takes interviews from all politicians of our country, including top-ranking officials. As a politician, and having been invited, I met with their representatives. So there is no sensation, it is a normal meeting,” Tomaševski told journalists at a press conference held in Parliament on Friday.
Tomaševski called media reports about his meeting with Director of the First Baltic Channel Anton Blinov and other representatives an attack against his party.
“Prior to every rally or other campaign, in which we intend to spotlight the ever worsening situation of our citizens, certain attacks are organised in the media against our party and personally against me,” said Tomaševski.
The Electoral Action of Poles has backed a protest rally of members of Lithuania’s Polish community on Friday.
