Two flights from Vilnius had been cancelled on Wednesday, Indrė Baltrušaitienė, spokeswoman for Lietuvos Oro Uostai (Lithuanian Airports), the operator of the country’s three biggest airports, told BNS.
Lufthansa was forced to cancel more than half of its 1,400 short- and medium-haul flights in Germany and Europe scheduled for Wednesday due to the action affecting 80,000 passengers.
As estimated, strikes reduced Lufthansa’s net profit by approximately 160 million euros last year.
It is the 12th walkout of Lufthansa’s pilot since last April.
