Mosaic Singers to perform a concert in Vilnius

St. Casimir is the oldest baroque church in Vilnius. The concert is part of the Mosaic Singers Baltic 2014 concert tour where they will also appear on LRT, the national TV. Their performance in St. Casimir is to benefit the Lithuanian American high school exchange programme, ExCEL. The exchange programme brings Lithuanian high school students to the US to study for one year. The US Ambassador to Lithuania, Deborah A. McCarthy, is the patron for the concert and she will attend the performance.

The Mosaic Singers bring their tight harmonies delivered in a passionate style that is combined with some fabulous dancing moves. Their lively repertoire consists of traditional choral music, spirituals, as well as contemporary music including their adaptation of some of the hits from Detroit based Motown. Moreover, the singers will perform the Lithuanian national anthem in the Lithuanian language.

The choir has performed in more than then twenty-five US states, at The White House and the famous Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Internationally their concerts have delighted audiences in Copenhagen, Denmark and The Millennium Dome in London, England. They have participated in cultural exchanges in Senegal and Singapore and prior to the Vilnius concert they will participate on 8 July in World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia.
