The Alliance’s jets took off last Monday to identify an An-26 transport plane flying from Kaliningrad to mainland Russia and an IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft headed for the exclave.

On Thursday, the jets also intercepted an An-26 transport plane on its way from Kaliningrad to mainland Russia.

All of the Russian aircraft kept radio contact with air traffic controllers and had their onboard transponders on.
