
Wojcik will replace Colonel Zbigniew Szlenka, according to the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence.
The new Polish Defence attaché graduated from the NATO Defence College in Rome and has served at and led various Polish and NATO military units.
The ministry underlined in the statement that cooperation with Poland is key for ensuring security in Lithuania and the whole region as Poland is one of the most active participant of the NATO Baltic air policing mission, having sent its fighter jets to the mission six times since 2005.
Since 2003, Lithuania has taken part in the activities of the Poland-based Multinational Corps Northeast.
