Seimas speaker’s adviser set to become ambassador to Moldova

The Ministry of Foreign Ministry has registered bills necessary for his appointment.

Kudzmanas would assume his new position on Aug. 14, replacing Rimantas Latakas.

In Lithuania, ambassadors are appointed by the president, following nomination by the government and approval but the parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Kudzmanas has served as ambassador to Turkey and Azerbaijan and previously worked at the Lithuanian Embassy in Lithuania as an advisor on economic affairs and served in various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
