Seimas to discuss resistance to hybrid threats from Russia

The event is expected to bring the society’s attention to the regional security situation, particularly the hybrid threats, the parliament’s Public Relations Division said in a press release.

International experts and members of non-governmental organizations will talk about corruption as a weapon, global threats and regional security.

Among participants of the conference will be Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, former commander of the United States Army Europe (USAREUR), political analyst Zbigniew Pisarski, founder and president of the Kazimierz Pulaski Fund, Michael Carpenter, director of the Joseph R. Biden Center of Diplomacy and Global Engagement at the Pennsylvania University, etc.

According to the review of national security threats issued by the Lithuanian State Security Department and the Second Investigations Department under the Defence Ministry on Monday, Russia’s aggressive intentions and actions are the main threat to Lithuania’s national security.
