Commissioned by the National Association of Tobacco Producers, Nielsen carried out the survey of empty packs in 20 Lithuanian cities on April 5-12. It showed the contraband cigarettes market has shrunk 1.9 percentage points to 17.7 percent this year.
The survey also showed 84 percent of contraband cigarettes in Lithuania come from Belarus.
