SocDems’ council to decide on joining ruling coalition

The Social Democrats are currently holding talks with the Lithuanian Peasant and Green Union (LPGU), the party that triumphed in the elections, over forming a coalition government.

The LSDP’s next congress is scheduled for May 6, 2017.

The Social Democrats, the largest party in the outgoing parliament with 39 seats, finished third in the recent elections with 17 seats.
