During the trip, the crew will visit Lithuanian communities in various parts of the world, visiting a total of 100 countries and covering 200,000km.

The route will go around the Baltic Sea, across the Pamir and the Tian Shan Mountains, US plains and deserts of Gobi, Atacama, Namibia and Australia, through the Brazilian jungle, across the Andes, the Russian tundra, the Bering Strait and many other places.

“We will give a strong-worded response to the challenge of globalists whether Lithuania should exist of not. We will be leaders of the world,” one of the people behind the idea, leader of the legendary Antis rock band Algirdas Kaušpėdas, told journalists on Wednesday.

The travellers will drive four Toyota Landcruisers 78, with crews including professional cameramen, photographers and best off-road drivers in Lithuania. The participants intend to visit dozens or hundreds of Lithuanian communities.

The trip, scheduled to last from August 2016 to October 2019, should cost its organizers about 2 million euros.

In 2018, Lithuania will celebrate 100 years since the restoration of its independence from the Russian Empire. On 16 February 1918, the Council of Lithuania declared restoration of an independent state of Lithuania.
