This year marks the first time that Lithuanian representatives have been invited to the forum, the Defence Ministry said.
“The forum will discuss priority issues on the US national security agenda and in the strengthening of the armed forces, which are also relevant to Lithuania as it seeks to secure a further role of the US in enhancing our regional security,” Karoblis said in a press release.
The forum will address key global security and US national security challenges, US defence priorities, the US defence industry development, the current administration’s plans for strengthening the armed forces, and other issues.
The annual forum brings together US administration officials, members of the Congress, military leaders, media representatives and several foreign guests.
