Over the past 24 hours, the country has reported 1,067 new cases of coronavirus infection – 49 fewer than the day before.
Nine people died from COVID-19.
The COVID-19 incidence rate within 14 days is currently 404.1 cases per 100 thousand residents. The rate of positive tests during the week is now 7.7 percent.
9,958 coronavirus tests have been performed in the past 24 hours.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 223,127 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in Lithuania.
Statistically, 203,803 people have recovered. (declared: over 160 thousand).
According to the Kaunas municipality, there are 2,308 high school graduates in Kaunas, and 1,814 people expressed their willingness to be vaccinated.
The mayor’s advisor, Tomas Jarusevičius, said that about 40 12th grade students who wanted to be vaccinated with the Moderna preparation did not receive the vaccine.
They are to be vaccinated soon.
Vaccinations of high school graduates started in this city on March 25.
Vilnius is preparing to vaccinate another priority group – from Friday, Vilnius will invite residents who care for disabled and seriously ill people to register and vaccinate. Currently, lists of this group of people are being prepared.
The list of residents who are currently invited to vaccinate has been supplemented by group 1.18: these are disabled people, under constant care (or requiring level I of constant care, with high or medium special needs); and – carers of disabled people; parents or guardians taking care of disabled or seriously ill (according to group 1.1.4) children at home.
