LLRA-KŠS leader Valdemar Tomaševski in early June met with Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis and LVŽS chairman Ramūnas Karbauskis to discuss the possibility of formalizing relations between the parties.
Tomasevski, a member of the European Parliament, said, however, that the LLRA-KŠS decided not to open talks because there were no concrete proposals.
“If there were concrete proposals regarding the government, say, two or three ministries, (…) then we would formally consider the proposals and would discuss all pros and cons of joining the coalition in the middle of the term,” he said.
Karbauskis said that even if talks on bringing the LLRA-KŠS into the coalition were opened, the party would not be given any ministerial or vice-ministerial posts.
