“Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia‘s belonging to Europe is a vitally important matter to Latvia‘s security. Therefore, I am grateful that my professional knowledge on foreign affairs and experience in the region will serve well to Europe,” Kalnietė emphasized.
Kalnietė operates in the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs and the EP Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, and is also the vice president of the EPP group at the EP.
