Lithuania represents Switzerland in issuing Schengen visas in Chicago

Lithuania’s MFA and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs concluded their reciprocal representation agreement providing that Lithuania’s Consulate General in Chicago will represent Switzerland when issuing short stay Schengen visas for the purposes of tourism, visiting family and friends or business.

Residents of Illinois and other surrounding states will be able to apply for a visa at Lithuania’s Consulate General in Chicago. Residents of other states or applicants who intend to travel to Switzerland for other purposes will continue to apply for a visa at the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, D.C., or the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York.

Lithuania has also concluded similar agreements with 14 EU member states and Norway. These countries represent Lithuania or Lithuania represents these countries when issuing visas in certain regions of the world.
