Tomas Pakalniškis, spokesman for the Lithuanian army, told BNS that Lithuania handed over 150 tonnes of ammunition, mostly cartridges for AK-47 assault rifles.
The Lithuanian army no longer uses them because they do not meet NATO standards, he added.
The ammunition was handed over on Friday, the Ministry of National Defence said in a statement.
It was the Lithuania’s second military aid supply to Kiev since Russia’s 2014 intervention in Ukraine.
