DELFI / Orestas Gurevičius

A symbolic valve opening ceremony is scheduled in the village of Lapkasiai, near Kuršėnai.

Amber Grid, Lithuania’s state-run pipeline network administrator, says the new 110-kilometre section of the pipeline will allow transporting higher volumes of gas to consumers in Lithuania and abroad.

The pipeline project is worth EUR 64m. Part of it was contributed by Latvia and EU support.
