Lithuanian defence minister discusses cooperation with Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast officials

The minister of national defence addressed possibilities of cooperation by assisting the Ukrainian side in arranging aftercare for wounded participants of the Antiterrorism Operation (ATO) at the meeting with representatives of Ivano-Frankivsk administration.

The meeting officials also discussed a possibility to invite children of ATO participants for vacation in Lithuania through mediation of NGOs.

Minister Olekas delivered a lecture on NATO response to security challenges in the context of Russian aggression in Ukraine at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and talked to students.

The minister’s visit to Ivano-Frankivsk was arranged as part of the NATO Week in Ukraine programme which is coordinated by NATO institutions and the Lithuanian Embassy in Ukraine currently functioning as the NATO Contact Point Embassy.
