NATO Week is an educational event about NATO designed for high-ranking Ukrainian officers and civilian officials. Kiev hosts the event organized by the NATO Defence College, Embassy of Lithuania in Ukraine (which is also the NATO Contact Point Embassy in Ukraine for the 8th consecutive year) and the NATO Representation to Ukraine for the 18th time this year.

Karoblis will deliver opening remarks at the National Defense College of Ukraine, the Ministry of National Defense said in a statement.

Later on, the minister will meet with Minister of Defense of Ukraine Army General Stepan Poltorak and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Army General Viktor Muzhenko. The meetings are expected to address progress and achievements of Ukraine’s defense reform, prospects of bilateral and cooperation and projects underway, and other topical topics.

“Security and stability of Ukraine and its ability to respond to threats affects significantly the security of the entire region, therefore cooperation with Ukraine has been one of Lithuania’s most important foreign and security policy priorities for a long time now”, Karoblis was quoted as saying in a statement ahead of the visit.
