Rimi Lietuva’s net profit jumped to €7.3 million, from €953,100 euros in 2014 on the back of a raft of new store openings.
Rimi’s annual revenue in Lithuania increased by 15.7% to €28* million.
Rimi Lietuva is one of Lithuania’s biggest grocery chains and plans to continue its expansion in 2016.
Rimi Lietuva last year opened six new stores in Vilnius, Klaipeda and Kaunas, bringing the total number of Rimi stores in Lithuania to 52 at the end of the year.
This year, the company plans to refurbish existing stores and open eight new stores, it said. The company is 100% owned by Sweden’s Rimi Baltic.
