With the system already updated, the lines on the border are expected to disappear in the next few days.

“We had planned system stops on October 7-8, we had announced it on our website. The lines should disappear today and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday), as the systems are already running, and the problem was solved,” Vitas Volungevičius, spokesman for the Customs Department, told BNS on Monday.

In his words, there are no truck lines waiting to enter Belarus from Lithuania.

According to the Belarusian Border Service’s website, 400 trucks were lined up on the Belarusian side of the Kamenny Log – Medininkai checkpoint at 10 a.m., as compared to 230 at Berniakonys – Salcininkai, 171 at Privalka – Raigardas and 160 at Kotlovka – Lavoriskes.
