The central government’s budget revenue for January-February was €927.8 million euros, some 1.9% above the 910.6-million target.
The value-added tax contributed €610.6 million to the state coffers, about 1% more than planned. Excise tax revenue came in at €3.3 million, or 2.1% above the target.
Revenue from the corporate tax, at €5.6 million, exceeded the estimate by €1.9 million, or 49.2%.
The personal income tax generated €190.1 million euros in budget revenues for the central government and local authorities, some €8.4 million, or 4.6%, more than planned.
The central government’s budget income target for 2016 is €5.945 billion. With EU funds, the figure stands at €8.046 billion.
