The participation and support of Lithuania and other Baltic states would be a significant signal of successful integration with the European Union (EU), with help provided to countries with no migration flow management experience, Dombrovkis said in Lithuania earlier this week.
“Clearly, every member-state has unique features and possibly different capacities, also in the field of migration. Some countries may have less experience in managing large migration flows than others. Therefore, they may need additional help to have the same conditions as the others. We are ready to consider this,” the Lithuanian daily, Lietuvos Žinios, cited him as saying.
