According to the deputy minister, the Lithuanian president crossed the line by making non-diplomatic statements. “She had to understand that such statements could have an impact on our cooperation,” he said.

Russia’s relations with Lithuania were more developed than with other Baltic partners, Nebenzya claimed. “Lithuania depends on us in no small measure. Of course, the statements which Grybauskaitė permitted herself will not facilitate the development of cooperation. We pointed to this and we took it into account,” the deputy minister said.
