When Latvia was on its way to join the euro zone last year, Laima came up with a new chocolate bar featuring an image of a LVL 5 banknote. The product soon became popular with the public, and was one of the most successful new products of the company. Laima has sold more than 200,000 of these chocolate bars since December 2013.
“This year, we want to please Lithuanians as well. I believe that this product will become popular with the Lithuanians”, Brukle said.
Laima is the largest chocolate and candy manufacturer in the Baltic states. The company exports its products to 27 countries, including the Baltics, Russia, the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia.
