“We are speaking about bachelor’s degree studies free of charge, a step that is envisaged in the government’s program and that we will seek to put into practice. And if we are saying that citizens receive their education free of charge, this gives even more grounds for this discussion,” she told reporters on Wednesday.

At the same time, the minister underlined the need for putting in place attractive working conditions for such professionals.

The Association of Local Authorities in Lithuania proposes to introduce mandatory job placements for graduates to help fill shortages of professionals in areas outside the capital and other major cities.
