Lithuania to get more US troops – US General

“What you’ll see in Lithuania is an increased presence of rotational forces, you’ll see the continuing improvement of infrastructure,” Hodges told journalists at the Gaižiūnas training grounds.

In February, Washington Announced its plans to earmark $3.4 billion in 2017 to increase US forces and equipment as a deterrent against “Russian aggression”.

A company of US soldiers is currently stationed in each of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland. The forces were sent to the region in the wake of Russian actions in Ukraine.
