€770,701 of these were allocated for film production. Most of the projects were short films and short documentaries by young filmmakers: among them The Last Bell (dir. Gabrielė Urbonaitė), Golden Minutes (dir. Saulius Baradinskas), When The Lights Go Out (dir. Jonas Trukanas) and others. Funding was also provided for two animation shorts – Matilda (dir. Ignas Meilūnas) and The Juggler (dir. Skirmanta Jakaitė).
Money was also given to 4 pre-production projects including two feature films. A total of €41,000 were awarded to these projects.
Five minority co-production projects were also granted state support. They will be implemented by Lithuanian filmmakers in cooperation with colleagues from France, Italy and Russia. For the first time films will be made together with Georgia and Cyprus – the dramatic story Namme about a family and a community from the mountains region in Georgia and the 3D animation project Dragon Recepies about the friendship between a wizard girl and a dragon she has created. The grant was given to the feature films Core of the World and Jumpman, also to the feature short Unfolded. A total amount for all these projects is €157,000.
Support was given to 5 films dedicated to the centenary of recreation of the state of Lithuania. The biggest amount of €70,000 went to the documentary film about Lithuanian writer Tumas-Vaižgantas. The documentary Rūta about the Olympic swimming champion Rūta Meilutytė received €35,000. More than €48,000 distributed among 3 short films.
