Currently, such fines can only be imposed on critical infrastructure managers, Deputy Defense Minister Edvinas Kerza told BNS.
Under the proposal, failing to provide information about the state of cyber security, incidents or attacks could result in a fine of 30 to 300 euros.
The fine for a repeated failure could increase to between 300 and 1,440 euros.
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has said recently in a report that the situation regarding cybersecurity in Lithuania improved somewhat in 2017 compared with 2016, but efforts to ensure cybersecurity are still insufficient.
