Lithuanian president and foreign minister sign condolence book at French Embassy

Grybauskaitė strongly condemned the brutal attack against the editorial office of Charlie Hebdo satirical weekly in Paris, expressing sincere condolences and solidarity to the people of France in the hour of grief. In the book, the Lithuanian president left a French-language note with a pencil “Nous sommes tous Charlie aujourd’hui” (“We Are All Charlie Today”).

“Lithuania shares your pain and expresses support and solidarity,” Linkevičius wrote in French and English.

Two armed men attacked the Paris-based Charlie Hebdo office in Paris on Wednesday, killing 12 staff members and police officers. AP news agency said the suspects – brothers Cherif and Said Kouachi – were cornered by the police close to the airport of Charles de Gaulle on Friday morning.
