It is not a secret that the Lithuanian youth is leaving the small Baltic country and moving to places where they can earn more money for the same work. One of the most popular destinations is Great Britain, where minimum pay is 1378.87 euros per month, and the Netherlands where they will get at least 1501.80 euros – making in one month what they would have to work five months for back home.
Lithuania’s neighbour, Latvia several spots ahead, number 17, with 360 euros as minimum wage, while Estonian employers must pay their workers at least 390 euros per month, putting the country in the 15th place.
In Russia, which is struggling under an economic crisis, minimum monthly wage is 85 euros. Ukraine, that is suffering from the Russian aggression, pays more than twice lower than in Russia with 41 euros in a month. In the United States, the minimum wage is 1035.06 euros.
