Grybauskaitė calls on Lithuanian businesses, farmers to invest in UAE

According to the president, Lithuanian scientists could contribute to the development of a laser technology center at the newly established Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi and businesses could offer solar elements to the UAE market.

The president’s office also said in a press release on Tuesday that export certificates for meat and eggs had been finalized during the visit.

As part of her official visit, Grybauskaitė met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

An agreement on economic and technical cooperation and memorandums of understanding on energy and on the promotion of business cooperation between Lithuania and the UAE are planned to be signed on Wednesday. In Dubai, a high level Lithuania-UAE business forum will be held for the first time.
