Both parties saw their popularity rise somewhat in March compared with a month ago, the poll conducted by the pollster Spinter Tyrimai for Delfi.lt showed.
Some 18.6 percent of respondents said they would vote for the opposition Homeland Union if general elections were held next Sunday, up from 17.3 percent in February.
The LFGU would receive 16.9 percent of the vote, up from 15.4 percent.
The 5 percent hurdle required to enter the Seimas would also be cleared by the Order and Justice party with 7.5 percent, the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party, led by Gintautas Paluckas, with 6.5 percent and the Liberal Movement with 5.8 percent.
The Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania–Christian Families Alliance would receive 4 percent support.
Some 3.7 percent of those polled would vote for the newly-established Lithuanian Social Democratic Labor Party led by Gediminas Kirkilas, and 3.3 percent would vote for the Lithuanian Center Party.
Spinter Tyrimai polled 1,009 people aged between 18 and 75 years on Mar. 21-29.
