Lithuania has climbed from the 46 place in 2014 to 29th place in this year’s World Bank’s logistics rankings.
Latvia occupies 43rd place (down from the 36th position), Estonia rose one place to 38th, Poland fell two places to 33rd.
The top ten was occupied by Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, the Netherlands, Singapore, Belgium, Austria, United Kingdom, Hong Kong and the United States.
The World Bank Logistics ranking has been compiled since 2007. It aims to help countries evaluate and assess opportunities and challenges in the field of logistics and determine how they can improve.
Transport systems of even 160 countries in the world have been evaluated based on six components – country customs, infrastructure, international freight transport, logistics service quality, the ability to track the movement of cargo, punctuality. Lithuania this year has improved in all of these indicators.
