“Giedrius Galkauskas, a chargé d’affaires of the Lithuanian Embassy in Moscow, will attend the inauguration,” Rasa Jakilaitienė, spokeswoman for the foreign minister, told BNS Lithuania.
Lithuania’s Ambassador to Moscow Remigijus Motuzas received the initial invitation to the inauguration but he won’t be able to attend since he’ll be accompanying Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius during his visit to Uzbekistan.
Putin was reelected for a fourth presidential term in March and will be sworn in later in the day. In 2012, the then Lithuanian Ambassador to Russia Renatas Norkus attended Putin’s inauguration.
