Lithuanian Foreign Ministry contributes funds to OECD project in Ukraine

According to the ministry, the project is aimed at strengthening the legal and institutional anti-corruption environment in the country and stepping up international cooperation in the anti-corruption effort.

“I am glad that on its way to OECD membership, Lithuania can also help Ukraine whose new government is taking resolute steps on the way of vital reforms. I hope that this financial contribution as well as Lithuanian experts will be able to contribute to reforms in the anti-corruption area,” Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius was quoted as saying in a statement on Monday.

Lithuania is taking part in 34 permanent OECD committees, working groups and programs. Lithuania has also joined 15 OECD international instruments.
