Lithuania’s Ukraine embassy to serve as NATO representation

“I am glad that Lithuania is once again entrusted with the duty to represent the Alliance. We strive to strengthen cooperation between NATO and Ukraine,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius.

The Embassy of Lithuania is the current NATO Contact Point Embassy in Sweden. Lithuanian representations carried out the role of NATO Contact Point Embassies in Georgia (2011-2012), Moldova (2009-2010) and Belarus (2004-2010).honorable

Key tasks of the NATO Contact Point Embassy include: dissemination of information about NATO activities and policies, organisation of public events in order to raise general awareness and support for the Alliance, cooperation with local media, public institutions and non-governmental organizations.
