Poland to perform random passport checks at border ahead of NATO summit

DELFI / Šarūnas Mažeika

This new security measure was implemented ahead of the NATO Warsaw summit this week, as well as the World Catholic Youth Day program in Krakow.

Until 2 August, people traveling into or through Poland will have to have a passport or identification card with them. Documents will be checked randomly at the border and based on information received from other countries’ various services.

The summit meeting will be held on 8-9 July.
