Lithuanian travel agencies do not plan to cancel trips to Turkey, a popular holiday destination with Lithuanian holidaymakers, BNS reports.

The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a warning on Saturday, advising Lithuanians against going to Turkey.

Lithuanian nationals in the country are advised to stay in safe locations and avoid crowded places.

The ministry said there were about 2,200 Lithuanians currently in Turkey. Some 200 of them were in Istanbul and Ankara during the events on the night from Friday to Saturday.
