Lidington and Linkevičius will discuss the United Kingdom’s negotiations with the European Union over reforms and migration as well as information security issues and relations with Russia.
Britain is pressing for reforms in the EU and demands non-discrimination between the euro and non-euro areas. According to British Prime Minister David Cameron, a group of national parliaments should have a right to block the adoption of EU laws.
Britain also wants to have a right to restrict benefits to EU immigrants. According to proposals, immigrants from the EU would not be able to claim social housing or other social benefits for the first four years of residency.
