The funds will be transferred to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, it said in a press release.

The refugee crisis in Myanmar started after Rohingya militants in August attacked police posts and the country’s army, in response, launched a campaign against the Muslim minority. More than half a million Rohingya people have since fled Myanmar.

Lithuania’s funds will go to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh where these people lack access to food, water, shelter, medical services and sanitation, the ministry said.
